Bybit will launch its first on-chain decentralized exchange, Byreal, on June 30 with a testnet rollout. The new platform will run on Solana and serve as a major part of Bybit’s shift to hybrid finance. The mainnet launch is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
Byreal Introduces Hybrid Model for Trading
Byreal combines centralized exchange speed with decentralized finance features to create a unified trading platform. It will use a hybrid liquidity model based on RFQ and CLMM routing to enable efficient trading. This approach aims to reduce slippage and protect against MEV while ensuring fast transaction speeds.

The platform also introduces a fair launchpad and a set of curated vaults designed to support ecosystem participation. These include tools such as the Smart Price Ladder and Fairshare Engine, which help ensure equal opportunity access. Through this system, Byreal targets balanced rewards and stronger user engagement across multiple pools.
Bybit Expands Staking With bbSOL Token
Byreal integrates bbSOL, a liquid staking token built on Solana that Bybit launched in September 2024. Users who stake SOL on Bybit’s Web3 platform receive bbSOL, allowing cross-platform access and liquidity. The token’s design aims to link Bybit’s CEX users with DeFi tools while increasing SOL staking options.
Bybit developed bbSOL with support from Solana ecosystem partners including Sanctum, Kamino Finance, Orca, and Solayer. This collaboration reflects Bybit’s commitment to enhancing product interoperability within the Solana network. It also marks a strategic move to provide seamless staking solutions across centralized and decentralized environments.
Web3 Service Closures and Future Plans
The Byreal launch follows Bybit’s decision to end several Web3 services by May 31 as part of product refocusing. Services including Cloud Wallet, Keyless Wallet, NFT marketplace, DEX Pro, and Swap & Bridge were all shut down. Bybit also discontinued its Web3 loyalty program, on-ramp services, and initial DEX offerings.
The exchange is now aligning its focus on high-performance hybrid finance solutions with fewer but stronger product offerings. This transition comes after a reported $1.4 billion hack loss that forced a broader strategic pivot. Users can access the new exchange through its official portal, byreal.io.
